RQI Online Course – What to Expect

We send the online courses three times daily between 8 AM and 5 PM. To ensure compatibility, you’ll need a computer or tablet—phones are not supported.

The course is designed to adapt to your current knowledge level, so the completion time varies based on your experience:

BLS (Basic Life Support): 1–2 hours
ACLS or PALS (Advanced or Pediatric Advanced Life Support): 3–4 hours

You can pause and resume the course as needed—it doesn’t have to be completed in one sitting.

RQI skill testing

BLS, ACLS, OR PALS - What to Expect

If you’re preparing for your BLS, ACLS, or PALS course, here’s what you need to know. On your scheduled registration date and time, arrive at the testing location with your RQI login credentials and the entry instructions you received via email or text. Once you’re there, put on a pair of gloves, log in to the computer using the touchscreen or keyboard, and follow the on-screen steps to start your skills session.

You’ll be guided by a VAM (voice-assisted manikin) throughout the testing process. While an instructor won’t be physically present, our friendly and dedicated team is just a phone call away if you need any assistance during your session.

hand injury

Performing CPR is Physically Exhausting

CPR involves physically intense movements. During training, practicing chest compressions on a manikin may strain your hands, wrists, arms, or overall body. If you deal with pre-existing conditions such as pain, carpal tunnel, weakness, or injuries, we recommend postponing your session until you are in better physical condition.

Feeling tired or pressed for time during your class? You can pause and reschedule at no extra cost. Just give our office a call to set a new date. Alternatively, you’re welcome to stay and complete your skills at your own pace.
